About Me

My last name is pronounced “Boo-dish.” I grew up in a suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota and was highly involved in sports, church, and school activities. I double-majored in math and religion during college.

During my late teens and early 20s I discovered a God-given passion for ministry while working with students in local churches and at a church summer camp. Toward the end of college I began to feel called into full-time ministry. Despite my doubts and insecurities I faithfully pursued that calling.

After college I served for three years as a junior high ministry intern at Wooddale Church in Minneapolis. I also went to Bethel Seminary and graduated with a Master of Divinity degree in 2014.

Now I’m a full-time middle school pastor at Valley Church in West Des Moines, Iowa and I absolutely love what I do. In my spare time I like to read, play disc golf, and perform with my improv group. I am currently single but can’t wait to be married and hopefully raise my own middle school boys someday!
